A flea-covered kitten abandoned at a Hertford nature reserve is recovering – and now the RSPCA is hoping to find her a new home in time for the new year.

In the 700 days Bia has been in the RSPCA’s care, she has seen hundreds of dogs come and go – but the friendly Staffordshire bull terrier is still looking for someone to adopt her as their own.

Three-year-old Bia arrived in the RSPCA’s care in 2014 as a puppy after she was found in a severely neglected state in a back garden.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after a cat with a severe leg injury was dumped in a litter tray outside an animal centre.

The male grey-and-white cat was found at the gates of the RSPCA’s Blackberry Farm Animal Centre, in Aylesbury, this morning (Thursday) by a member of staff.

The cat – who has been named Tiddles – had such a severe injury to his leg that it has to be amputated.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after six rabbits were dumped in travel carriers  in a car park.

The rabbits – four males and two females – were found yesterday morning (Thursday 4 February) in the car park of the RSPCA’s Blackberry Farm Animal Centre, in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.

A handwritten note apologising was on top of one of the carriers.
