The RSPCA is appealing for information after a dog linked to South Wales was found in Reading with injuries consistent with illegal activity.

A member of the public found the dog in the Burghfield area of the Berkshire town on Sunday (29 October). Sadly, the large cream-coloured greyhound-type dog was found with blood-stained bite marks all over his face, was unable to close his mouth, and also has nasty injuries to his leg.

We have helped rescue more than 60 animals from flooding in just five days.

In the most recent rescue, members of our water rescue team and a field officer from World Horse Welfare (WHW), the largest rescue and rehoming horse charity in the UK, saved two foals and seven horses from a flooded field.
