A man and woman from Leeds have been disqualified from keeping animals for life after allowing their two dogs and cat to suffer.


Michael Richardson (D.O.B 30.07.59) and Beverley Ann Richardson (D.O.B 24.10.64) of Broom Mount appeared before Leeds Magistrates’ Court on Thursday last week (17 January) where they pleaded guilty to two offences under the Animal Welfare Act 2006*.

A dog walker from Leeds has been disqualified from keeping dogs for two years after being caught on camera hitting a client’s pet Boxer.


Jacqui Wilkins (D.O.B 30.11.72) of Dorset Grove, Stanningley appeared before Leeds Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Monday 7 January).


She was due to stand trial but pleaded guilty to one offence under the Animal Welfare Act instead, admitting failing to meet the needs of Bella by rough handling, physical violence and intimidating behaviour.
