An exotic frog has made a 5,000-mile trip to an Asda store in Llanelli – after being found amongst an a-peel-ing bunch of bananas from Colombia.
RSPCA Cymru was alerted after an eagle-eyed member of staff spotted the frog while on shift at the Murray Street store last Monday (June 29). The quick-thinking superstore worker has been thanked by the animal welfare charity.

A juvenile female Alabama map turtle has been rescued from a stream in Caerphilly.
Two children are understood to have found the tiny turtle in the stream next to the Asda superstore on Pantygwindy Road in Caerphilly on Wednesday (7 August).
The stray reptile was transported to a local veterinary practice for care and support, before RSPCA officers collected the animal and took her to the International Tortoise Association in Sully.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after a family of dead ducks were discovered in a bag in some bushes outside Asda in Colne, Lancashire.
The female mallard and nine ducklings were found in a black bin liner on Saturday 27 April.
It appears whatever happened to them happened two days earlier.

We’re desperately trying to find a new home for a very special mum who gave birth to a litter of kittens under a storage container at an Asda store in Lincoln.
All four kittens have found new homes, including the only boy George, who was aptly named after Asda’s clothing range.
