A 19 year old woman from Staffordshire has had her hair shaved off in aid of the RSPCA, raising much-needed funds.

 

#AnimalHero Nikki Kelly, who lives on Linden Grove, Newcastle Under Lyme, did the sponsored event on Friday (20 December) at her local Toni & Guy salon, who took the opportunity to become #AnimalHeroes themselves by doing it for free and offering discounted follow up appointments.

People in County Durham are being urged to be an #AnimalHero this weekend by supporting RSPCA Felledge Animal Centre and going along to their annual Christmas Fair.

 

The RSPCA launched its ‘Everyday Hero’ campaign earlier this month, which urges all of us to do what we can to improve animal welfare, whether it is reporting a case of cruelty, donating unwanted clothes to an RSPCA charity shop or putting food out for the birds in our garden.

Gordon Birtwistle, MP for Burnley & Padiham, is spending an afternoon with an RSPCA inspector this week to find out more about the animal welfare issues in his constituency.

A man from County Durham has become an #AnimalHero, running the Amsterdam Marathon to raise money for RSPCA Felledge Animal Centre.

 

Peter Harrison rehomed his ‘lovely cat’, called ‘Autumn’, from Felledge in January this year but, not satisfied with that, wanted to give even more back to the centre that had given her so much.
