The RSPCA is appealing for information after a cat was shot with an air rifle in Perry Barr, Birmingham.
The six-year-old cat, named Coco, was found to have an injury to the side of her body by her concerned owner, on 22 September.
She was taken to the vets where an x-ray confirmed that she had two pellets in the side of her body.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after a duck was shot in a canal in Chester.
The magpie duck was found injured at the side of the canal, by Telford’s Warehouse, on Sunday, 3 June. She was taken to the RSPCA’s Stapeley Grange Wildlife Centre, where sadly an x-ray showed an air rifle pellet in her neck.
Her injury was so severe that she was put to sleep to prevent further suffering.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after a cat was shot in Coventry – just weeks after another cat had to have a leg amputated after being shot in the next street.
Two-year-old Meg was shot with a pellet in the left side of her body, fracturing a rib, rupturing her diaphragm and bruising her lung.
She was targeted sometime between 8.30pm and 10pm on Monday 22 May, and would have been near her home in Mayfield Road, Earlsdon.

Ten-year-old Smudge is thought to have been shot near to her home in Stanway Road, in Earlsdon, Coventry, sometime between 7am and 8am on Wednesday, 12 April.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after a swan was found peppered with air gun pellets in a Staffordshire town.
The swan was found by water in Cannock Road, Burntwood, with a hole in his neck, on Thursday 30 March. RSPCA inspector Rob Crutchley collected the bird and took him to the charity’s Stapeley Grange Wildlife Centre, in Nantwich, Cheshire.
