A cat’s leg was left badly broken after being shot with an air rifle near Llanelli.

RSPCA Cymru was notified after the female tortoiseshell cat, named Spot, was shot last Friday (8 June), in the village of Pontyberem.

The cat – aged six – was taken to a veterinary practice, where it was confirmed her leg was broken by an air rifle pellet.

Spot is now set to undergo an operation to have the damaged leg amputated.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after a cat was shot 10 times in Crewe.

A member of the public found the male black cat seriously injured, lying on a grass verge in Middlewich Road, Crewe, near to Bentley Motors, on Saturday 10 March.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after two cats belonging to the same family were shot within a week of each other in Liverpool.

Liberty and Shalilah both had to have veterinary treatment as a result of being shot with an air rifle in their head and neck, near to their home in Old Dover Road.

The RSPCA is urgently appealing for information after a cat was shot in Coventry – in the next street to where two other cats have been shot since April.

A concerned member of the public found the bird with a large wound above his leg in a field in Well Lane, Weaverham, on Sunday 5 March. They contacted the RSPCA, and Animal Collection Officer Lauren Bradshaw collected the bird.
