The RSPCA is appealing for information after the ‘thinnest dog ever seen alive’ by an RSPCA inspector was found in Accrington, Lancashire.
The dog, who has been named Eric by veterinary staff caring for him, was unable to stand or lift his head.
He was found by a member of the public on the afternoon of Saturday 2 March and collapsed soon after.

A man from Lancashire has been jailed for 12 weeks and disqualified from keeping animals for five years after allowing his dog and cat to starve to death.
Jamie Birtwhistle (D.O.B 31.05.86) of Nuttall Street Mews, Nuttall Street, Accrington appeared before Blackburn Magistrates’ Court on Friday (6 October).
