Two tiny kittens were found abandoned in a Dolgellau cardboard box, prompting an RSPCA Cymru appeal for information.

A member of the public found the two ginger kittens, thought to be aged between five and six weeks old, in a park in the Pen Caeau area of the town on Wednesday (1 November).

The kittens appeared lethargic when discovered but, fortunately, were found to be healthy upon veterinary inspection. They are now in the care of the RSPCA.

New homes are being sought for nine kittens which were abandoned in a cat carrier in Kidderminster.

The kittens were found by a school teacher who was on her way to work on the morning of Thursday 14 July, at the side of Dunley Road, in Stourport-on-Severn.

They have now been taken into the care of the RSPCA’s Kidderminster and District branch, where they have been given sporty names in recognition of sporting heroes.

The RSPCA is reminding people about the importance of cat neutering after two sets of kittens were found abandoned in Stoke-on-Trent in the space of two days.

Three black-and-white female kittens were found in a field off Leek Road, Stoke-on-Trent, on Sunday (30 August) evening.

Then on Monday morning (31 August), one black female kitten and two male black-and-white kittens were found abandoned in a box in a hedge in Sandcrest Walk, Meir.

Liskeard kitten

The RSPCA was called after a young girl found two kittens left for dead in a sealed cardboard box dumped amongst bin bags in a lane outside St. Martin’s Primary School in Liskeard last week.- the evening before the council’s bin collection day.
