We have welcomed government moves to introduce tougher sentences for those who allow their dogs to attack other people and animals.
The Anti-Social Behaviour Crime and Policing Bill received royal assent in Parliament on Thursday, 13 March and will come into force this May.
We believe the extension of current dog control laws onto private property, as well as public places, gives more power to tackle irresponsible dog owners.

Dog owners have been urged to keep their pets cool this weekend to avoid the heartbreak of losing a much-loved companion.

We’re urging MPs to vote to save British badgers when a debate takes place in Westminster on Thursday, 13 March.
More than 1,800 badgers have already been slaughtered since August 2013 as part of the government’s misguided badger culling policy and as many as 100,000 will be under threat if it insists on going ahead with rolling out the cull.
