The RSPCA is again warning against the dangerous practice of tethering horses after one of the charity’s inspectors carried out a heroic rescue of a pony which was dangling by his neck off a cliff in Suffolk.

The RSPCA is appealing for information about who is setting snares on waste land in Dunstable in Bedfordshire.

On Wednesday 27 February RSPCA inspector Tina Ward was called about a cat caught in a snare in the land at the back of Buttercup Lane and Hurlock Close.

 

The member of the public who contacted us had cut the cat free at around eight o’clock in the morning.

The RSPCA is appealing for information about a white bull terrier cross dog who was found cowering under an abandoned van in Catford on Wednesday 27 February.

The dog was suffering from an eye injury which looked like it may have been in a fight with another dog when it was straying.

 

He had taken shelter under a blue Volkswagen van on Ravensbourne Park which had not been moved for some time.

A horse found collapsed in Swanley in Kent in the middle of the night appears to have been dumped by her owner because of her injuries.

The female. skewbald horse, is thought to be about two-years-old. She was found on School Lane next to a public footpath on 13 February just after midnight.
