A cat has been rescued after being stuck at the top of a 40 foot high pole carrying high voltage power lines for more than 24 hours.

The cat’s owners contacted the RSPCA to help rescue two-year-old black and white Vince.

RSPCA Inspector Tony Woodley was called to the incident in Gibbs Brook Lane, Oxted in Surrey:

A huge stray cat called Buster has been happily rehomed with retired folk in a Croydon care home by the RSPCA.

Buster is a friendly three-year-old, neutered male black and white cat with bright green eyes.

RSPCA South East branch spokesperson, David Mawson, said :

The RSPCA is recognising the bravery and persistence of a terrier who saved the life of her elderly owner when she did not realise her bed was on fire.

Barbie is a seven-year-old Jack Russell Terrier who lives with her owner 72-year-old Rosemary Field in Bristol.
