Springwatch presenter Chris Packham is calling for young people to get snapping during the school holidays and enter their photos into the RSPCA’s Young Photographer Awards.  

Whether it’s a bug, a bird or a big, beautiful mammal, it’s a fun way to spend some time during the holidays, photos of any kinds of wildlife and animals are welcome.

RSPCA Cymru is appealing for information after a black and white kitten was found alive in a plain blue carrier bag in a children’s playground on Vere Street, Barry.

The 10-week old kitten was discovered by a member of the public who found the kitten on Sunday night at around 11.30pm. The foal was stuck in thick black mud up to his chest. 

A chestnut Common Pony foal had a lucky escape after getting stuck in the mud up a mountain between Heol-y-Cyw and Glynogwr, near Pencoed.

Five year old Orion wants to live life to the full in a home of her own. 

An abandoned German Shepherd who has been overlooked time and time again is looking for a loving new home.

Orion, who is approximately five years old, is full of energy and wants to live her life to the full, despite her heart condition which was only detected after she came into the RSPCA’s care.

Residents and staff from Greenhill Manor care home donated to help animals affected by cruelty.

Residents and staff from a south Wales care home have remembered a former RSPCA branch trustee with a donation in her honour.
