The RSPCA is appealing for information after a middle-aged Jack Russell terrier was found tied up to a tree off of a pathway in Bickenhall Woods, near Taunton, on Saturday 9 July.

A couple spotted the small dog, now named Murray, who is believed to be about seven years-old after he was abandoned in the woods. They first saw him at 9:30am and by midday, nobody had returned to collect him.

Iguana dumped in park_RSPCA

The RSPCA has launched an investigation after an iguana was found abandoned in a local Winchester park last Friday (10 June) with a severely broken leg.

A member of the public found the lizard in the public park on Cromwell Road in the Stanmore area of the town and took him home in a plastic container before the RSPCA came to pick him up.

Hedgehog stuck between fences_St Albans_1

An RSPCA inspector rushed to a rather prickly rescue last week after a rather large hedgehog got stuck between two metal fences at a gym in St. Albans.

A passer-by called the RSPCA last Friday evening (10 June) when they noticed the hog was stuck between the black metal fences in an unforgiving and rather tight squeeze at Cotlandswick Leisure Centre on the High Street of the Hertfordshire city.
