RSPCA Cymru is appealing for information after the body of an emaciated dog was found dumped at the side of a lane in the Vale of Glamorgan.
The large female Doberman was discovered in the village of Penmark near Barry on Tuesday 25 March 2014. She was wrapped in three distinctive duvets and had a docked tail. She was not wearing a collar and had not been microchipped.

Goldie the Welsh Mountain pony is safe and sound after three days stranded at cliff base

A Welsh mountain pony has been successfully rescued from the base of a cliff in Carmarthenshire following a major two-day rescue operation involving the RSPCA, coastguard and fire service.
Two-year-old gelding, “Goldie” had slipped 20 metres down a steep slope into an isolated cove at Marros near Pendine and was unable to get back up.

RSPCA Cymru is appealing for information about an incredibly thin dog who was handed in to the Bryn y Maen animal centre in Upper Colwyn Bay on Thursday 6 March.
The female Staffie cross breed dog, named “Twiggy” by centre staff, was handed in by a group of people who found her abandoned on the side of the A458 road in Conwy county.

RSPCA Cymru is appealing for information after an elderly Yorkshire terrier dog was found collapsed and in an appalling condition in Merthyr Vale on Sunday (16 March 2014).
The elderly, female dog was found by a member of the public on land at the bottom of Sarah Street and Victoria Street. She was unable to move and crying.

RSPCA Cymru is appealing for information about two rabbits and a guinea pig that were found dumped in cardboard boxes in the car park of a community centre in Caerphilly county borough.
The animals – one grey rabbit, one white rabbit and a black and white guinea pig – were found in two boxes outside Plas Mawr community centre on Sunday 9 March 2014. The boxes were labelled “rabbit” and “rabbit and guinea pig”.
