RSPCA Cymru is appealing for information after a poorly ragdoll-type cat came into the charity’s care, after being found tied to a fence.

The cat was found on Caerleon Road in Ponthir on Sunday 11 December, and was tied to the fence using only a piece of string.

In desperate need of veterinary care, the cat was found visibly thin, with serious diarrhoea. It was constantly crying, and seemed in pain when her stomach was touched.

A swan rescued by RSPCA Cymru – having been found exhausted outside a Morfa shopping centre – has now been returned safely to the wild.

The bird shocked Christmas shoppers at the Morfa Bay precinct on Thursday 1 December, with a sizeable crowd gathering to watch as the exhausted bird sat struggling outside shops.

Christmas shoppers in Swansea were left stunned as an exhausted swan was spotted struggling outside the Outfit store in the Morfa area.

RSPCA Cymru is searching for the owner of a white and ginger cat, which was found in the Ely area of Cardiff on Friday 25 November.

The cat was collected by the charity, after it was run over by a member of the public, and was taken to a veterinary practice for treatment.

A North Wales seal pup that was rescued by RSPCA Cymru is recovering well, and it is hoped can be released back to the wild in early 2017.

The pup was collected by the RSPCA on the opposite shore from Conwy town, on November 1, after it was found struggling with an eye injury and with no sign of its mother for a considerable period of time.
