RSPCA appeals for information about abandonment

The RSPCA is appealing for information after an elderly German shepherd dog was found tied to railings at the entrance of a Manchester park today (7 March).

 

The black and tan dog was found at about 11.50am by a member of staff at Platt Fields Park.  It is not known how long he had been there.

A bat had an awakening from hell after his wing got tangled during hibernation, meaning he was stuck and unable to fly away.

The RSPCA was called after the tiny mammal was found grounded in Crescent Rise, Luton early on Tuesday morning (3 March).

We found him in an extremely cold state with fibre wrapped tightly around his wing.

Cat found hanged from window frame

RSPCA appeals for information after horrific discovery

 

The RSPCA is appealing for information after a cat was found hanged from a window frame on Friday (27 February).

 

A cord noose had been tied around the neck of the ginger cat and then around the window frame at the side of a derelict snooker club on High Oak, Brierley Hill.

A foal left for dead by the side of the road in Essex is making a slow but steady recovery, following overwhelming support from horse lovers who donated nearly £20,000 towards his care in a week.

 The RSPCA was called after Gizmo, a tiny piebald cob, was found collapsed and without his mother near Ridgewell Caravan Park in Yeldham Road, Ridgewell in Halstead on Tuesday 17 February.

The bird was spotted suspended over a river near Shortmead Street, Biggleswade, Bedfordshire on Monday (23 February). His wing was trapped in fishing wire, which was then attached to the tree.

The RSPCA was called and an inspector had to wade into the river to be able to reach up to the bird and untangle him.

The moorhen was taken to a wildlife specialist for treatment for injuries to the wing and they are  hopeful that he will survive. There … Continue reading…
