The people of Newport can get into the Christmas spirit by attending the local RSPCA animal centre’s festive fete – and even have the chance to meet Old Saint Nick himself.
RSPCA Newport Animal Centre will be fundraising at the event at the Ringland Labour Club on Saturday (30 November), from 11am until 2pm. Entry to the event is free and booking in advance is not required.
Stalls will be selling a host of festive goodies – including handmade Christmas gifts and doggie bandanas; while there will also be tombola, bric-a-brac, cakes and refreshments for attendees to enjoy.
There’ll also be one very special guest of honour – with Father Christmas himself showing his support for the Animal Centre by attending, and meeting children in his grotto.
Stall-holders can still apply to be at the fete, too, at the cost of only £6 per table. Enquiries can be made to the Centre via email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Kathryn Logan, from the RSPCA Newport Animal Centre, said: “Everyone at the Centre is so excited to return to Ringland Labour Club for our annual Christmas fete and grotto.
“It’s an ideal chance for the people of Newport and beyond to get into the Christmas spirit; and even meet Old Saint Nick himself, as the countdown to the big day continues.
“With games, great food and festive gifts, this is a great chance to get ready for Christmas and support the RSPCA at the same time.
“All monies raised will help with our efforts of rehabilitating and rehoming hundreds of rescue animals each year; as we aim to give these pets the perfect gift of all – a loving, caring forever home.”
