A lethargic fox cub has been rescued from a Cardiff service station by RSPCA Cymru.
The lone cub was spotted struggling at the Welcome Break service area, on Malthouse Avenue at the Cardiff Gate Business Park on 2 May.
RSPCA Cymru attended and found the confused and disorientated cub hidden behind an electrical equipment box. He was making no attempt to move, despite concerned members of the public standing at arms length.

A tiny, four-week-old kitten was saved from a state of desperation after becoming trapped amid very large rock boulders on the breakwater on Towyn beach.
RSPCA Cymru was alerted after the members of the public heard meows at the boulders adjacent to a cycle path – though the cat could not be seen.
Officers from the charity made three separate visits to the site to secure necessary access to the kitten.

An appeal for information has been launched after the reported theft of a horse which was subject to RSPCA enquiries.
The horse had collapsed in Cardiff’s city centre in front of crowds of people on April 20.
RSPCA Cymru attended the scene, while Police enlisted the support of a Pontardawe-based animal sanctuary to move the animal and provide boarding while investigations continued.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after a dead dog was found dumped in Selby, North Yorkshire.
The lurcher-type dog was discovered amongst fly-tipped rubbish on a track running parallel to the River Aire off the A19.
RSPCA inspector Thomas Hutton said: “The dog was inside a white builder’s sack and had tyres stacked on top of them.

An RSPCA appeal for information has been launched after a stray cat in Cwmbran was found “peppered” with shot thought to be from a shot gun.
The animal welfare charity was alerted after the cat was seen staggering, with an injured back leg, and struggling to stand up and walk properly in the Greenmeadow area of the town.
The white and black male cat has been seen straying by local residents in the area over a number of years.
