A thin otter cub suffering from hypothermia has been taken into RSPCA care.

The otter was found by a member of the public collapsed and very unwell at the side of the busy A470 in Ganllwyd, Gwynedd, and was rushed to a veterinary practice in Dolgellau.

The vets found the otter to be seriously hypothermic and dehydrated, but luckily the vets managed to warm up and rehydrate the little otter, which weighed just 1.3kg, before contacting RSPCA for assistance.

RSPCA Cymru is appealing for information following the suspected poisoning of two cats – which belong to the same family – in Connah’s Quay.

Stuart and Donna Jones contacted the RSPCA after their cats Milly and Bumble were taken ill and sadly were put to sleep by a vet after their health took a turn for the worst. They tragically lost their cats within six weeks of each other.

RSPCA Cymru is appealing for information after an injured cat – thought to have been involved in a car collision – was found in Cwmbran.

Due to her injuries, the grey female Persian cat is believed to have been involved in a road traffic collision. She was found on Thursday (29 November) at Blaen Bran Close in Cwmbran and was taken to a local vets by a member of the public and then transferred to RSPCA Merthyr Tydfil veterinary clinic….
