The RSPCA is hoping to reunite a cat who was rescued after getting her leg trapped in a wheelchair ramp with her family in time for Christmas.
The distinctive-looking cat – who is white with a black nose and tail – was rescued on Monday last week (10 December) after getting stuck in a ramp of a bungalow in Highfield Road, Blackpool.

A seal with a severe eye injury is the fiftieth rescued by the RSPCA in the South West and West Wales region this season.
RSPCA Cymru was alerted after the lethargic seal was spotted struggling to move on Aberystwyth beach on Saturday (8 December).
The seal was stranded on a busy area of the beach, and was safely moved by experienced seal handlers before being collected by the RSPCA.

A Connah’s Quay resident had a shock when discovering 40 pet mice abandoned in a box at Cheshire Oaks.
The discovery was made when friends were out walking last Friday (7 December), and stumbled across a brown cardboard box – with child-like drawings on the side – filled with dozens of live mice.

Avoiding unnecessary single-use plastics this festive season could help ensure a kinder Christmas for animals, says RSPCA Cymru.
The call comes after new statistics show the RSPCA has received 26 calls from Wales about plastic-related incidents, up to 26 November this year. It follows 27 calls coming to RSPCA Cymru during 2017.
Call figures, however, are likely to be higher – as these only denote those calls where plastic was specifically referenced.
