Cardiff Council has been urged by the RSPCA not to exclude dogs from marked sports pitches within the local authority area.
The council is currently consulting on a Public Spaces Protection Order for the area, including proposed new controls around dogs.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after three skinny chickens were dumped in a pigeon basket in pouring rain in Merseyside.
A member of the public found the three birds huddled together in a brown basket on the Liverpool Loop Line, between Fazackerley to Hunts Cross, near to Longmoor Lane.
They contacted the RSPCA and inspector Helen Smith collected the birds, who were all very thin and hungry.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after a man was seen dumping a dog on a busy road in Liverpool in broad daylight.
Members of the public witnessed a man in a green old-style Land Rover pull up on Shevingtons Lane, Kirkby, take the dog out of the car before driving off – abandoning the dog on the side of the road. The incident happened at 2pm on Tuesday (2 October).
