An RSPCA Cymru appeal for information has been launched after a blind puppy was allegedly kicked in Wrexham.
Calls to the charity claim three men in the Penycae area of the town were seen with the puppy, aged approximately six weeks old, and one deliberately kicked the dog to the body.
It is said the alleged incident took place on Sunday evening (6 May), and has prompted the RSPCA to urge anyone in the local area with information to get in touch.
The female Jack Russell terrier-cross – who has no eyes – is currently in the care of another animal charity in the nearby area.
RSPCA inspector Kia Thomas said: “We have received disturbing reports of a vulnerable puppy with no eyes being deliberately kicked by a man in Penycae.
“Reports claim this took place on Sunday evening (6 May), with a small, female black and white Jack Russell terrier-cross the alleged target.
“The dog was taken into the care of another animal charity – and RSPCA is eager for any more information related to this alleged incident to come to light.
“Our inspectorate appeal line can be reached on 0300 123 8018, with all calls treated in confidence.”
