A dog who cheated death after having her throat slit has been given a second chance at life – after surviving the horrific ordeal.
Lexi was held by her muzzle as previous owner David Owen took a smooth-bladed carving knife and sliced her throat, during an argument with his partner.

Generous donations to RSPCA Peterborough funded the much-needed operation
Following a successful appeal by the RSPCA’s Peterborough branch, Lady got the operation she needed and now has a second chance at happiness.
Lady is an 18-month-old Saluki-Lurcher cross who was found tied up outside Broadway Vets in Peterborough on January 25.
The local RSPCA branch took her in but discovered she had a fractured foreleg and needed a £2000 operation to fix it.

A runaway tortoise has been reunited with their Brackla-based owner, after being spotted walking up a path by a member of the public who was heading to the local shops.
RSPCA Cymru was alerted after the spur-thighed (Testudo graeca) tortoise was found strolling up a pathway on Tuesday April 3.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after a dog was thrown out of a car and kicked three times by a woman – who then tried to run the dog over – in a Shropshire village.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after an emaciated and very poorly cat was dumped in a field in Tamworth.
The female tabby cat, who is thought to be around 10-years-old, was found in a pink cat carrier in a field off Syerscote Lane, on 1 April.
