RSPCA Cymru is appealing for information after an emaciated and unwell dog was found in Cardiff Bay.

The rottweiler dog – who is aged around 14 years – was found on Seagar Drive on Monday (19 March).

A two-week-old foal found weak and sheltering behind a tree has been rescued from Conwy Mountain.

RSPCA animal collection officers (ACO) Will Galvin and Ann Lloyd Williams attended to the young brown foal on Monday (19 March) following a call from a concerned walkers.

The dangers external wire and netting pose to wildlife has been highlighted, after a pigeon and gull died in the centre of Cardiff.

RSPCA Cymru was alerted after the birds were found hanging from wire on a building on Queen Street in the heart of Wales’ capital city, on Thursday (15 March).

The charity attended along with South Wales Fire and Rescue Service, and officers reached the trapped birds via cherry picker to set them free.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after 25 rabbits were abandoned in freezing cold blizzard conditions in Sheffield at the weekend.

 

The rabbits were found in a large cardboard box in an alleyway near Landseer Drive, Gleadless on Saturday morning (17 March) and taken in by a member of the public, who called us.

Roxy, the brindle crossbreed dog who is around four-years-old, is currently awaiting her forever home at the RSPCA Newport Animal Centre.
