RSPCA Cymru is appealing for information after a lethargic snake was found in the Kinmel Bay area.
The charity was alerted after the black, yellow/white and red milk snake was found by St. Asaph Avenue on Friday (15 December). The unwell snake was spotted by children who were walking to school.
Milk snakes are from the same genus as kingsnakes and are common in the reptile pet trade.

A man who pinned two kittens to the floor and beat them to death has been jailed for 20 weeks.
Aaron Jay Barker, aged 26, of Songthrush Avenue, in Basford, Nottingham, was found guilty yesterday (Tuesday 19 December) of causing unnecessary suffering to the two kittens following a two-day trial at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court.
The court case heard evidence from an RSPCA inspector who investigated the case, and from vet experts.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after a dead six-week-old puppy was found dumped in a box on a Derbyshire street.
The male brown and white crossbreed-type puppy was found in Guildford Avenue, Swadlincote, on Friday evening (15 December). The person who found the dog, inside a pink box, contacted the RSPCA.

A four-day-old kitten who was abandoned by her mother on a cold and wet day in Birmingham is due to star on the small screen in the Channel 5 show Jo Brand’s Cats and Kittens.
The kitten was found by a member of the public huddled under a bush after they heard her distressed meowing. The contacted the RSPCA, and Inspector Louise Marston collected her and took her to the charity’s Birmingham Animal Hospital.

The RSPCA is investigating after a tumour-ridden dog was tied up and left for dead under a bush.
A member of the public found the distressed dog, thought to be a collie cross, tied up in an alleyway next to Available Car, in Station Road, Castle Donington, Leicestershire, on Saturday morning (16 December).
He was immediately taken to a vet, where he was put to sleep on welfare grounds as he was so poorly.
