The RSPCA is urging people with information to come forward after a man was seen beating a dog on a bus in Walsall.
The animal charity was contacted by a worried member of the public who witnessed the incident on the 10A bus from Walsall to Brownhills, on Thursday last week (12 October) at around 4.25pm.
RSPCA inspector Laura Bryant said: “The caller witnessed a man inflict several blows to the side of the dog, who appeared frightened and had their tail between their legs. The person who witnessed this got off the bus before the man, so they don’t know where he got off – however, he was seen getting on the bus outside the Walsall Wood Factory shop.
“The dog was described as a brindle-coloured Staffordshire bull terrier-type dog.
“We are concerned about the dog’s welfare. We are urging anyone who witnessed this to contact us in complete confidence on 0300 123 8018, in the hope that we can track the dog down and check on them.”
