An elderly cat has been found in the Cardiff area – prompting a search for his owner.
RSPCA Cymru was contacted on Wednesday (11 October), after a ginger cat – struggling to walk, and with cuts on his ears – was found on Harriet Street, in the Roath area of the city.
The cat is underweight, and has fleas – and remains in the care of the charity. He is neutered, indicating the cat may well have an owner, and could have deteriorated in condition after becoming lost from home.
RSPCA Cymru is urging anyone who could help reunite the cat with his owner to contact the inspectorate appeal line on 0300 123 8018.
Stephanie Davidson, RSPCA animal collection officer, said: “This ginger male cat was found in the Roath area of Cardiff on Wednesday (11 October).
“It seems very possible he may have been lost from home for some time, so we’re on the search for an owner in the hope of returning this elderly cat to where he belongs.
“Should anyone in or around the central Cardiff area have any information, they are urged to contact our inspectorate appeal line on 0300 123 8018.”
