RSPCA Newport Animal Centre is seeking donations of unwanted garden furniture.
The centre, based on Hartridge Farm Road, is looking for tables and chairs, in good condition, to use across the site.
Newport Animal Centre found loving new homes for 380 rescue animals in 2016, namely 194 cats, 109 dogs, 51 rabbits and 26 other small animals.
The centre is also seeking donations of large plastic storage boxes, with or without lids, to help store equipment and other items.
Anyone able to make donations is urged to contact the centre; by telephone on 0300 123 0744, via email on firstname.lastname@example.org, or in person. The centre is open six days a week, between 11.30am and 4pm, and is closed on Thursday.
Kathryn Logan, from Newport Animal Centre, said: “We need to install additional seating and tables around the centre, and we’re appealing to the local community to donate any unwanted garden furniture, in good condition, to us.
“Sometimes we do need items which aren’t directly animal-related to help the centre’s operations – and we’re also asking for any unwanted large plastic storage boxes to help us keep items safe.
“We re-homed 380 rescue animals in 2016, and donations to the centre are so important in helping us to tick. Anyone who can help is urged to contact the centre, by telephone, online, or in person.”
