The RSPCA is appealing for information after the body of a cat was found in a picnic basket washed up on a beach at Caister-on-Sea last night (Wednesday, 13, June).

The picnic basket was found by members of the public, who opened it up and discovered the dead cat inside.

An appeal for information has been launched after a cat was shot in the Pontypridd area, with a pellet breaking the tabby’s femur.

The owner found her female cat – named Tauriel – injured in the Llantwit Fardre area on 2 June, having been missing for a few days. The shooting is believed to have happened on 1 June.

The RSPCA is urging Northwich residents to look out for local wildlife after a swan was taken to a wildlife centre with multiple injuries – on the same day that seven of her cygnets went missing.
