The RSPCA is appealing for information after seven baby rabbits and two adult rabbits were dumped in a crate in a layby down a country lane.
They were found by a member of the public in a layby in Withy Hill Road, Sutton Coldfield, in the early hours of Monday morning. Sadly, two of the baby rabbits died shortly after being found.
The seven surviving rabbits are now in the RSPCA’s care, where they are recovering from their ordeal.

A man who admitted bludgeoning a cat to death at a Betws y Coed hotel has today (31 May) been handed a suspended prison sentence.
Dylan Marcus Edwards (d.o.b 4/2/1967), of Llanrwst had previously pleaded guilty to the charge of causing a cat unnecessary suffering, at Llandudno Magistrates Court on Tuesday 23 May.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after four kittens aged just a day old were abandoned in a plastic bag in a country lane.
The kittens still had their umbilical cords attached when they were found, wriggling around inside a tied-up white carrier bag, on a footpath near to Uppingham Road, Corby, on Wednesday last week (24 May).
They are now being hand-reared by the family who found them, with the assistance of the RSPCA.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after a cat with severe burns on her back was abandoned outside a vets.
The female tabby cat was left at the front door of a vet practice in Wellington Road North, Stockport, on Friday 19 May. She was taken to the RSPCA’s Manchester Animal Hospital, however she was sadly put to sleep after her health deteriorated.

The RSPCA has launched an appeal to raise £4,000 for one of its rescue dogs who urgently needs medical tests.
The chihuahua, called Honey, was rescued last month from a house where there were 82 dogs. Neglected Honey has now been placed in a foster home with RSPCA officer Catherine Strawford in Walsall and she had been doing really well – until last week.
