The friendly ferret might belong to someone who is looking for them.
RSPCA Cymru is trying to track down the owner of friendly white faced, brown bodied ferret in Barry.
The ferret was found in the Dow Corning silicone factory, Cardiff Road, Barry, on Friday (7 April) afternoon. Staff at the factory helped to capture the ferret before RSPCA inspectors were able to collect them from the factory and take to the RSPCA Merthyr Tydfil Clinic for a check up by a vet.
Anyone who may have information about this ferret or who knows who the owner is should contact the RSPCA inspectorate appeal line on 0300 123 8018. Calls are treated in confidence.
RSPCA inspector Gemma Black said, “We’re very grateful to the staff at the Dow Corning factory for their help. This is a very friendly and healthy ferret, so it is very likely that someone is out there looking for them.
“However, the best way to ensure lost pets are reunited with their owners is to have them microchipped and for pet owners to make sure that their contact details are kept up to date.”
RSPCA Cymru would like to remind people to get their pets microchipped to give their lost pets the chance of returning home. It is also important to register the chip with a national database and update your contact details if you move or change phone number.
