A family pet was left with severe injuries and had to be put to sleep after being shot with an air rifle in North Wales.
Bobby, an eight-year-old tabby and white cat, was found injured by a member of the public on Wednesday 9 November in Wrexham, and taken to a nearby veterinary practice. The cat was from the Minera area of the town.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after the body of a cat was found with string around her neck in Northampton.
Chica, a female cat aged around eight, was found by a man in his garden in Trentham Close, East Hunsbury, on Saturday (12 November). It is thought that her body had been thrown over into the garden from an alleyway which runs behind it.

Almost 100 puppies were rescued at Holyhead Port in the early hours of Tuesday morning, as part of an RSPCA-led, multi-agency operation tackling illegal animal importation.
The incident has been labelled a “shocking example” of the scale of the puppy trade, with the puppies – of various breeds including Beagles, Basset Hounds, Labradoodles and Pomeranians – treated as “cash bonanza” for organised criminal groups.

A pair of terrified French bulldog puppies have been rescued by RSPCA Cymru, after being found in a cardboard box in Pontypool Park on Saturday 12 November.
The two male pups were found – with many of their bones visible – by a member of the public walking his own dogs in Pontypool, who then contacted the RSPCA.

RSPCA Cymru is urgently seeking witnesses to a suspected dog beating incident in North Wales.
A man was seen allegedly punching a dog, on Brynycabanau Road in the Hightown area of Wrexham on 26 October, at approximately 9.30pm.
RSPCA Cymru is urging any witnesses to come forward with any detail, or information, about the incident.
