The RSPCA is appealing for information after a dog with injuries consistent with fighting with badgers was found in Walsall.

The female Parson Russell terrier-type dog, thought to be aged around eight to 10 years old, is missing part of her bottom jaw. She was found in Chester Road, near Brownhills, by a member of the public on Monday (28 November).

RSPCA Cymru has rescued a poorly, long-eared bat in the Deeside area, saving the vulnerable animal from bad weather conditions, after it was spotted hanging still and not flying.

First seen on 14 November 2016, the bat was found hanging from underneath a roof lip, about 15 feet from the ground – with concerned members of the public spotting that the animal had not moved for a prolonged period of time.

The power of Facebook has reunited a North Wales cat with its owner, after they were separated for an unbelievable ten weeks.

An injured tabby-and-white stray cat, named Beatrix, was collected by RSPCA Cymru on 4 November; found walking on three legs and in need of veterinary care in the Sychdyn, Mold area.

It was later discovered that the cat had first gone missing from her Flint home on 13 September.

Six guinea pigs, including four babies, have been rescued by RSPCA Cymru in the Wrexham area.

The guinea pigs – a male, female and four babies – were found by a police community support officer in a children’s park on Rhosddu Road on 18 November, 2016. They were then collected by the RSPCA from a local police station, and continue to be looked after in RSPCA care.
