RSPCA Cymru is appealing for information after a grey-and-white kitten was found on the Rhymney to Penarth train last night (28 September).

The male six-week-old kitten – nicknamed ‘Station’ – was found in a navy sports bag.

A horse who had got her legs stuck over the edge of a footbridge in a Derbyshire field was brought to safety in a joint rescue operation between the RSPCA and the local fire service.

A pigeon had to be rescued after landing in a vat of oil in Merthyr Tydfil.

The used cold cooking oil was in an outside bin at a restaurant at Rhydycar and when the lid was taken off momentarily, the pigeon flew in and got himself into trouble on Friday (23 September).

The RSPCA is appealing for people to come forward with information after a cat who had been missing for a month was found dead.

Luna, a one-year-old black-and-white cat, went missing from her home in Old Town Lane, in Pelsall, Walsall, on 25 August. Her headless body was found on 25 September in her owner’s back garden.
