The RSPCA is appealing for information after a middle-aged Jack Russell terrier was found tied up to a tree off of a pathway in Bickenhall Woods, near Taunton, on Saturday 9 July.
A couple spotted the small dog, now named Murray, who is believed to be about seven years-old after he was abandoned in the woods. They first saw him at 9:30am and by midday, nobody had returned to collect him.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after the body of a fox covered in oil was found wrapped in a jumper on a Luton street.
A member of the public found the body in Oakley Road, Luton, on Monday 11 July and immediately called the RSPCA.

RSPCA Cymru is appealing for information after two kittens were found in a box in Caerphilly.
The kittens just weeks old – one ginger and white, and the other black and white, were found at Bedwas House Industrial Estate on 13 July.
The person who found them took them to a local independent vet, where sadly the ginger kitten was put to sleep on welfare grounds.
