RSPCA Cymru is appealing for information after four kittens were dumped in a blue plastic bag at the River Gwenfro in Wrexham.

The kittens, thought to be around two weeks-old, were found on Saturday (25 June) and were taken to the vets. Sadly all four have died.

RSPCA inspector Tim Jones, who is investigating this incident, said: “These poor kittens were found in a plain blue plastic bag and were found just downstream from the bridge over the River Gwenfro at Y-Wern, Caia Park. They were found near the bank.

“It is heartbreaking to think how frightened they must have been and it is very sad that all four have died.

“We are urging anyone with any information about this incident to contact us on the RSPCA inspectorate appeal line on 0300 123 8018. Calls are treated in confidence.”
