RSPCA Cymru is appealing for information after a cat was shot in the eye by an air rifle.
Black cat, Mikey, was shot on Thursday 28 April in the Valley Meadow Close area of Newbridge, near Blackwood.
He returned home at around 11.30pm and his owner rushed him to the emergency vets. Due to his injury his eye was sadly removed the following day.

A cat has been reunited with his owners, four years after going missing.
Louie went missing four years ago from the Roath area of Cardiff. His owner desperately searched for him and put out posters but he was never found.
But he has now been successfully reunited with his owner after the RSPCA tracked them down.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after a cat suffered facial injuries when he was shot in Lichfield.
The six-year-old male black cat, named Tom, was found with the injuries by his owner last Saturday (23 April) near his home in Broadbent Close.
