A cat has been left abandoned in a pet carrier outside a Cardiff office building.

The cat was found at 6.55am on Monday (February 22) outside the main gate of Treglown Court, Dowlais Road in a pet carrier that had a black bin bag around it.

The RSPCA is investigating after an emaciated Mastiff which later died was found on a Birmingham street.

The adult male brindle-coloured dog was taken into the PDSA in Aston on Saturday morning (20 February) after three men found him straying on Hamstead Hill, in Handsworth Wood, Birmingham.

A wounded seal has been taken into RSPCA care after she was found at a remote cove near Whitesands, St David’s.

The young pup had wounds to her face, neck and eye and was obviously in distress. She was found on the beach by a passer-by who contacted the RSPCA.

The rescue was carried out by RSPCA animal collection officer (ACO) Ellie West along with Terry Leadbetter from Welsh Marine Life Rescue.
