The RSPCA is appealing for information after a 10-week-old emaciated kitten was abandoned in a box on a rural road.
The black, male kitten was found by a member of the public last Friday (4 December) on a hairpin bend in Ironbridge Road, Jackfield, in Telford.
He is now in the care of the RSPCA and has been named Jack, after where he was found.

A short-eared owl – found emaciated near Holywell – has been released back into the wild.
The rare bird was taken to RSPCA’s Stapeley Grange Wildlife Centre for rehabilitation. It was only the fifth bird of its kind in the last 10 years to be cared at the centre.

The RSPCA is offering free short term pet boarding for flood victims who have been forced to leave their homes.
Specially trained water rescue teams from the RSPCA have helped rescue both people and animals since the disaster started at the weekend.

RSPCA Cymru is appealing for information after a dog was found tied to a fence in a layby near Colwyn Bay.
The dog was found with a red harness and lead, but didn’t have a microchip or identification. He was found on Llanrwst Road near Colwyn Bay yesterday (8 December) by a member of the public who reported it the RSPCA.
