RSPCA appeal for information

The RSPCA is appealing for information after more than 20 exotic reptiles including caiman a type of crocodile and an anaconda were found in a garage in London.

The vast majority were dead and it is believed the animals had been abandoned and just left to die six months before.

A dog who is spending his second Christmas in the RSPCA’s care is looking to start afresh in 2016 with a new family.

Hooch is an 11-year-old Staffordshire bull terrier who came into the care of the RSPCA Northamptonshire Branch over a year ago after being attacked by another dog. Sadly, Hooch’s wounds required urgent veterinary attention and so he was signed over into RSPCA care.

RSPCA Cymru is appealing for information after is it suspected that two cats were poisoned in Rhyl.

Sadly, it has been reported to the RSPCA that two cats at separate addresses in the Rhyl area have been poisoned.

RSPCA inspector Rachael Davies said: “Two male cats – one black and one tabby, who are from the Larkmount Road area, were taken to the vets when they became unwell.

As most pets enjoyed extra treats and fun games with their owners on Christmas Day last year, one tiny kitten was abandoned in the cold and left for dead.

Poor little Percy (left) was just five-weeks-old when he was dumped in a recycling bag in Witham Street, Newport on Christmas Day.

A member of the public spotted the recycling bag on 25 December and, upon investigation, found the little black kitten on Boxing Day and contacted the RSPCA.
