RSPCA West Gwynedd Branch is appealing to all animal lovers to add an extra Christmas present to their list this year.
For the month of December, RSPCA’s West Gwynedd Branch is organising a special Christmas food festive appeal to try to collect food and toys for the animals at RSPCA Bryn-y-Maen Animal Centre and also for the cats in the care of the branch.
Pets at Home in Bangor will be collecting any donated items throughout December.
RSPCA West Gwynedd Branch Chairwoman Ann Rees said: “We are delighted to launch our annual Christmas appeal and would like to thank Pets at Home in Bangor for helping us collect donated items.
“We are always so grateful for any donations made, which do really help to give a special Christmas treat to the cats in the care of the branch and to the animals at the RSPCA Bryn-y-Maen Animal Centre.”
The wish list includes Kong toys, tennis balls, Nylabones, rope toys, tinned dog food and chews for dogs. For cats, the wish list includes wand toys, scratching posts, play tunnels, wet cat food and treats. For small animals the wish list includes wooden chew toys, tunnels and boxes, hay and dried forage and ferret hammocks.
RSPCA Bryn-y-Maen Animal animal centre manager Vicky Williams said: “We always need many items to help us care for and rehabilitate our animals and Christmas is no different.
“From rope toys to chews and treats, they will also help to make this Christmas a special one for the animals while they are waiting with us to find their new homes. If anyone was able to buy anything on our wish list, we would be extremely grateful.”
Anyone with donations can drop them into Pets at Home in Bangor, Menai Retail Park, Caernarfon Road, Bangor, Gwynedd, LL57 4SJ.
All RSPCA local branches are independent charities in their own right, although they are governed by the RSPCA Rules for Branches.
