RSPCA Cymru is urging members of the public to join nearly 4,500 others by signing a petition to ban wild animals in circuses in Wales.
A travelling show using lions and tigers has now arrived in the Cardigan area and RSPCA Cymru is urging members of the public to think twice about going. The show has already been to Welshpool, Caernarfon and Wrexham.

RSPCA Cymru is pleased to announce the Welsh winners of the Community Animal Welfare Footprint (CAWF) awards scheme for 2015.
This year, 11 organisations across Wales have received awards in three categories – stray dog provision, contingency planning and housing provision; with bronze, silver and gold standards awarded, depending on the level of service provided by the authority or organisation.

RSPCA appeals for information
The RSPCA is appealing for information after a chihuahua was dumped on the street in Stevenage, Hertfordshire in an extremely poorly state, after an unsuccessful attempt to give birth.
The dog was found by a member of the the public in the Symonds Green area of Hertfordshire on Friday morning (4 September), before being taken straight to a vet and the RSPCA called.

Staff at a Starbucks in Cheshire were shocked to find a kitten had been dumped in a bin outside the store.
The seven-week-old black kitten was found by a member of staff as he went to put a bag of rubbish in an industrial bin at the back of the store in Holmes Chapel Road, Middlewich, on Saturday, August 29. But he saw something move and immediately went to get his manager.
