A CAT has been rescued after getting herself stuck on top of a Townhill roof.
The black cat was spotted on the roof of a Merlin Crescent home last Thursday morning [September 10] and the RSPCA and Mid and West Wales Fire & Rescue Service were called to help.
Firefighters used a ladder to reach the scared moggie – and brought her down to safety.

RSPCA Cymru is appealing for information after a terrapin was found in a front garden in New Quay, Ceredigion.
The member of the public who found him contacted the RSPCA after they found the reptile in their front garden at Park Street on 10 September.

A severely underweight puppy who was dumped in Coventry last week has been discharged from the vets and is currently doing well.
Four month-old William, a lurcher-type breed, was found by a member of the public and was taken to the RSPCA’s Coventry Animal Centre on Wednesday (9 September), where the decision was made to get him seen straightaway at a vets.

A PET blessing service is to be held at at St Tydfil’s Church, Merthyr Tydfil on Sunday 4 October.
The event is being run in association with RSPCA’s Glamorgan North and East branch and will take place at 3pm.
