A PET blessing service is to be held at at St Tydfil’s Church, Merthyr Tydfil on Sunday 4 October.

The event is being run in association with RSPCA’s Glamorgan North and East branch and will take place at 3pm.

Branch chair Tudor Jones said: “Anyone is welcome to come along and get their pet, or even a photo of their pet blessed.

“The animal welfare service starts at 3pm, which coincides with World Animal Day.

“It is always a joyous and noisy occasion and we usually get a good turnout.

“The church really looks after us. It is always a marvellous occasion.”
