THE RSPCA is appealing for information after a dog was found abandoned in a forest near Resolven.
A member of the public called the RSPCA after they first spotted the black female Labrador type dog on Friday [8 May].
RSPCA inspector Nic De Celis said: “The dog is of a normal weight but has got a skin condition which has resulted in fur loss. She is a friendly dog but has no identification so we can’t track down her owners.
“We don’t know what happened to this dog – but it appears she may have been abandoned.”
“We are now appealing for information.”
The dog is now in RSPCA care and if an owner is not found she will be rehomed.
Another similar dog was collected in a nearby location by a Neath Port Talbot dog warden and is being dealt with by them.
Anyone who may have information about this dog should contact the RSPCA inspectorate appeal line on 0300 123 8018.
