RSPCA’s Newport Animal Centre is looking for a loving owner to adopt a special Husky.

Hatchi1Hatchi is looking for a home with a family that have had sled dogs before.

Deputy manager at the centre, Rebecca Jeffery, said they would love to see the Husky find his forever home.

“Hatchi is a lovely dog, he can be strong and demanding so he needs owners that are going to be confident in handling him,” she said.

“He likes being around people and enjoys his walks out with Lola, one of our female dogs at the centre.

“He knows some basic commands and responds well to training, this is something we would recommend keeping up with when he is in his forever home as it would also help with socialisation.”

Hatchi will need a dog and cat free household, and could possibly live with sensible teenage children that are used to large breeds.

Anyone interested in rehoming Hatchi can contact Newport Animal Centre on 0300 123 0744 or email

The centre, based at Hartridge Farm Road, is open 11.30am to 4pm every day, except Thursdays.

Services the centre offers include animal adoption, dog training, microchipping, pet merchandise and pet welfare advice.
