A CAT has been found in a pet carrier on the side of the road in Pontnewynydd, Pontypool.

Pontnewynydd cat1The black cat – who has a small white patch on his neck under his chin – was found by a member of the public in a carrier under some bushes near Pontnewynydd Park on Monday [2 February].

RSPCA animal collection officer Gary Lucas said: “The young adult male cat had no collar or microchip. He is a sweet little thing.

“We are appealing for information as we don’t know what happened. Someone may have lost him or he could have been abandoned.” Pontnewynydd cat

The cat is now in our care and will be made available for rehoming if the owners do not come forward.
