The RSPCA is appealing for the owner of a dog impaled on a garden fence in Leeds to get in touch. It’s thought the dog, which was straying, tried to jump the obstacle and got stuck on spikes which went through his front paws.

 

He was discovered by the owner of the property on Foundry Mill Drive, Seacroft on Tuesday lunchtime (21 October 2014), hanging from the fence covered in blood.

We’re appealing for information after a kitten was dumped in a plastic box, shoved inside a zipped up holdall, and thrown over a fence near Brighton.

The tiny black six to eight week-old was found in a lethargic state in a garden in Vale Road, Portslade on the afternoon of Wednesday 15 October. She had been sealed inside a plastic container with just a few airholes in its purple lid, and then put inside the outer bag.

We’re appealing for information after a dog was found with a crossbow bolt through his skull near Peterborough.

Ziggy, a white and black male, two-year-old Staffy, was found in a very remote piece of woodland near Wansford, Peterborough on Wednesday 22 October.

He had a 20 inch carbon fibre weapon sticking into one side of his head and out the other side.

THE RSPCA is appealing for information after two cats were found dead.

The charity was contacted by a member of the public after two male black and white cats were found in two separate locations near Woodland Place, Cefn Hengoed, Hengoed on Saturday (18 October).

RSPCA inspector Simon Evans said the cats were less than a year old.

RSPCA inspectors have rescued a sheep stranded on a Gower cliff.

The female sheep had been stuck on a ledge for three to four days at Rhossili Bay.

Following a call from a member of the public, inspector Rohan Barker searched for the sheep on Sunday, but was not able to locate it.

On Monday inspector Neill Manley returned to the bay with the caller who pointed out exactly where the sheep was stuck.
