THE RSPCA is appealing for information after an unwell cat was found in Caerphilly.
The elderly male tabby cat was found by a member of the public on Sunday (21 September) at Heol Ysgubor.
RSPCA animal collection officer Rachel Chapman said: “He is an elderly cat with health issues but he has been microchipped which showed he was registered to an address in Bristol.
“But unfortunately the telephone number is not in use anymore. The cat has a shaved patch on his neck so someone has taken blood recently so it may be that a vet surgery recognises him.
“This highlights how important it is for anyone with a microchipped pet to remember if they move house to update their details.”
If you have any information about where this cat came from or who his owner is please contact the RSPCA inspector appeal line on 0300 123 8018.
